Located in beautiful Ohakune, Central North Island, WPI Pulpmill, is a leading manufacturer of mechanical market pulp in Asia Pacific. We are offering an excellent career opportunity for a motivated Planner. This is a permanent, full-time role and you would be working in a small dedicated team. We would love you to join us and we would be open to assisting with housing if you are relocating to the area. We also are offering a one year international leadership coaching programme for this position.


As the Planner you will assist the Superintendent Maintenance to deliver high-quality solutions and results. This role will see you:
 Provide maintenance planning and scheduling capability in support of the maintenance activities.
 Be responsible for the management of equipment maintenance systems to ensure the reliable and productive operation of heavy equipment.
To be successful in this role you will possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external clients along with your team.
Ideally applicants for these positions require the following but we will consider other relevant skills or experience:
 A relevant trade or tertiary qualification
 Experience in a planning role
 Maintenance experience
 Experience in a supervisory role
 Experience in plant management and document control systems
 Knowledge of maintenance and planning systems
 Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
 Experience in use of maintenance tools i.e. Maximo, MS Project

Payroll Officer


WPI is a successful company manufacturing and exporting quality timber and pulp. We have a well established, quality-focused production facility situated beneath Mount Ruapehu in Ohakune, where we manufacture branded product for the domestic and export markets.


In the role of Payroll Officer, you will be a member of the Accounting and Administration Team and have responsibilities that include:
 The delivery of an accurate, timely and confidential payroll function in accordance with WPI policy and procedures
 End-to-end preparation and processing of weekly payroll
 Payroll reporting and compliance with IRD, ACC and KiwiSaver
The ideal person will be:
 Experienced in payroll with an administrative background
 Capable of working confidently and calmly under continual deadline pressures
 Strongly customer-focused and committed to ensuring internal and external customer needs are met
 Able to demonstrate an ability to maintain routine and repetitive processes to a high standard
 Experienced in Microsoft applications
Position hours are approximately 30 hours per week, commencing immediately.

Located in Ohakune, Central North Island, WPI Pulpmill, a leading manufacturer of mechanical market pulp in Pacific Asia, is offering an excellent career opportunity for energetic and motivated Fitter to join our dedicated team of around 17 in the workshop.


Applicants for these positions require:
 Trade certificate in Fitting and Turning or Level 4 Maintenance and Diagnostics or similar
 Maintenance experience of heavy machinery and plant
 A working knowledge of hydraulics systems and an ability to understand schematic drawings would be advantageous
 To work Monday to Thursday 7am – 5.00pm with full participation in the on-call roster
 NZ Residency or valid NZ work visa
 Current full driver licence

Saw Doctor


We have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic skilled Saw Doctor to join the Lumber Operations team at our Tangiwai site on SH49 between Ohakune and Waiouru.


If you want affordable housing and like outdoor activities this is place for you. Working in a team of like-minded saw doctor professionals, you will ensure that all saws and knives are sharpened, repaired and finished to a high quality to guarantee reliability and availability of saws in our sawmill. You will also participate in performing preventative maintenance tasks to minimise saw failures and unplanned saw changes, investigate and resolve failures promptly and seek continuous improvement opportunities to maximise saw utilisation. There will be an expectation to work alongside mechanical and electrical trades to problem-solve machine-centre sawing issues.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes:
· Strong health and safety focus

· NZQA Level 4 Trade Certificate in saw doctoring

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Strong work ethic with a proactive "can do" attitude

· Ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities or urgent requirements when they arise

· Proven ability to work within a team environment.
